| Message | This treaty benefits Hutori by encouraging other countries that have signed on to treat Hutorians humanely if they are ever prisoners of war. Torturing foreigners would also be very bad PR anyway. We feel that this treaty is an acceptable limit to our sovereignty. |

| Message | We cannot support this, this international treaty obligates all signatories to either "return POW's to their country of origin" or "to treat them well according to internationally-accepted standards." This is something we would want to happen to any of our POW's and so we should remain a signatory to this treaty to ensure that such does happen. If the DCD wants to withdraw does that mean they do not support treating POW's well? That is a very strange stance for if we were to do so we could be sure that any nation holding our POW's would retaliate! |
