Bill: Medikamentenreform, 3596

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberale Volkspartei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3597

Description[?]:

Herr Präsident,

we are convinced that governmental price controls are just as harmful with regards to pharmaceutical drugs as in any other sectors of the economy. If companies can't temporarily increase their prices in times of increasing demand or shortages, then they will keep prices permanently higher in order to pre-empt such scenarios. We are convinced that with less regulation, prices will be lower and drugs will become affordale to many more middle-class people without governmental assistance.
