Bill: Freihandelsakt, 3607

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberale Volkspartei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3608

Description[?]:

Herr Präsident,

we should not see the exchange of goods between private individuals across the border as a political matter that ought to be regulated or even impeded by the state. More competition and greater choice of products will always benefit consumers, regardless of whether or not it is based on reciprocal free trade.

Ariane von Gehrfeld, MdR
LVP/LB-Mitrania
Wirtschaftsministerin

MessageHerr Präsident,

I would caution my right honourable colleague against such action, as we have done countless times before. We are well underway towards bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the area of trade, among others at the St. Anton Economic Forum. We would ask Frau von Gehrfeld to await those discussions before committing us to what is essentially a unilateralist foreign trade policy.
