| Overview: The Armed Forces of Istalia (Forze Armate di Istalia; FAI) is the name of the branches of the Istalian military. There is a Chief of Staff at the head and chiefs of staff for the branches as well, with the President as Commander in chief. UNLESS there is a significant, sensible and long term rise in the defense budget the Istalian military should be closely role played as the RL Italian military with limited regional capabilities primarily centred on national defense or working in a coalition of nations. Organization: Istalian Military Council (Istalian consiglio militare; ICM) is the primary senior level decision and policy making body.
