This law will establish a uniform operation of all inter-regional and national railways with the Dankuk Railroad Corporation (Danrail). Local governments remain permitted to operate and establish railways in their jurisdictions, and with permission of the national government, these railways may extend to nearby cities. Where cities lack the resources, Danrail will establish and operate all or some local railways. Currently this is the case in Gongmangdo, where about 2/3 of subway lines are operated by Danrail. |
