Message | Pray tell, what is the reasoning behind nationalizing the fire department? The national government doesnt need to provide fire engines, it needs to focus on other matters. |

Message | Are you also saying that local governments lack the ability to police effectively as well? |

Message | We believe that national services should be entirely funded and centrally run by the National Government. This gives the police and fire depts access to national resources straight away. It's not that we feel that local governments are incapable of policing effectively - we're just saying that it's more effective to place them under National Government control. Giving the Police and fire depts direct access to national funds, resources and contacts is far more effective than limiting them to the limited resources and funds of local governments. We are disgusted by the HDP's agenda that aims to privatise all national services or reduce them as much as possible. |

Message | ^ We'd just like to point out to the ANP that we believe the HDP's criticism was aimed towards us not the ANP. We personally believe in big central government when it comes to National Services and small gov for less important things. |

Message | We aim to devolve services so they can be better run by authorities with a closer link to the people. Having the government run all the police and fire departments will create a bureaucratic nightmare, not to mention the budget doesnt have enough funding to supply all them. We would need to dismantle the national health system or cut it further to pay for these central government expansions. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
