Message | While we sympathize with the idea of giving local governments more control, it is important that in matters of life and death like capital punishment that a national standard is applied. Murder in conservative Bhulkhandra is just as morally offensive as murder in left-leaning Washebar, and criminals should pay the same price for the same crime, no matter where it occurred. |

Message | While we agree with the action of the bill, we also believe that while not fully nationally controlled, some limits on what local governments can and should be implemented if we are to support this kind of change. We will work on a compromise that should address some of these concerns and propose it at a later date. |
