| Message | Cannabis is less harmful than tobacco and alcohol, possibly put together. If tobacco and alcohol are legal, then so should cannabis. I vote against, simply because this bill is extremely hypocritical. Also LSD induces very extreme "highs", but itself is not dangerous at all (studies suggest minor correlation with schizophrenia in the long-long-term). LSD too is less harmful than tobacco and alcohol. And to further the argument, drugs are always going to exist. There will always be drug dealers and drug cartels, but you want the government to keep these societal definites illegal. By replacing our drug-busting budget with a drug-rehabilitation budget (with government-approved safe drug houses for the addicted to take their required intakes (an addict not taking doses is far more dangerous)), which will safen our streets and make our population healthier. All drugs should be legal and taken care of in government-approved safe drug clinics, where the addicts will be aided by nurses to confront their addiction. Note below, this system has been tried before and does work. |
