Message | Herr Präsident, we do not want to make the safety of pensions dependent on which regime is currently in power. For example, if Solidarity were in government - God beware! -, and were to implement their policies of wasteful spending, union influence and economic incompetence they have proposed in opposition, then our country would soon face bankruptcy, and the savings of a lifetime would be gone in the time of one tenure. The people deserve stability and choice regarding their personal provisions for their retirement, which should not be subject to political fluctuations. Ariane von Gehrfeld, MdR LVP-Mitrania Vize-Staatsministerin |

Message | Herr Präsident, Herr Siegel shows nothing but contempt for the commitment and public spirit of the private pension funds. What matters is that people have a pension - and the private sector can over better value for money by investing it. die sehr ehrenwerte Janna Goddestreu, MdR (HDV - Phönix Schlossviertel) Staatsministerin (OOC: I've never heard of pension corporations. In my country, all pension funds are sort of cooperative.) |

Message | OOC: Really? In the UK, pension funds have a reputation for being mercenary. A lot of people have paid into pension funds for years, only to get a really crap pension upon their retirement. |

Message | OOC: I think that might be due to having an Anglo Saxon economy. |
