| Message | Herr Präsident, this issue has nothing to do with the dignity of humans in general or females in particular. Every voluntary relationship between consenting adults should be regarded as legitimate, regardless of the personal preference for traditional marriage that I and the vast majority of this House hold - this bill is a large leap backwards to the idea that government must make moral choices for its citizens regarding their interpersonal relationship, which we vehemently oppose as Liberals who hold dear the principle of individual autonomy.
