Description[?]:
An Act to repeal certain laws pertaining to hate speech Herr Präsident, we do not wish to end criminal prohibition on the incitement of violence on racial, religious, gender or other grounds. However, we do wish to end the tyranny of political correctness which constrains the free speech which ought to be enjoyed by every Crownlander. We do not support statements insulting or disparaging anyone on account of their race, faith, gender, sexual orientation, disability of anything of that sort. But we firmly believe that it is unacceptable for a government to ban people from saying such things. We wish to take our country off the slippery slope the establishment obsession with political correctness has unfortunately placed it on. Edith Strötzel MdR Fraktionsvorsitzende |

Message | Herr Präsident, Might one inquire whether Frau Strötzel is against the right to be protected from discrimination? Does she realise the harm hate speech has done to our society in the past? This bill is incompatible with the Septembrist value of a pluralist democracy and will not receive our support. shr. ehrw. Janna Goddestreu, MdR (HDV - Phönix Schlossviertel) Staatsministerin |

Message | Herr Präsident, I can't believe but we %100 agree with NBF, freedom of speech should not be infringed by the government. We support this improvement and commend NBF for this improvement. Julia Lindenkrone MdR (R-Budenlar) Parteivonsitzender |

Message | Herr Präsident, Prosecutions under hate crimes legislation are rare in the Crownlands, but we do need these laws on the statute as a deterrent. As Frau Goddestrau rightly points out, hate speech can wreak an incredible amount of harm upon its victims. We defend freedom of speech, but freedom of speech must come with a duty of responsibility. Message | Herr Präsident, we fully concur that free speech entails responsibility, but the responsibility to be politically correct, to be pleasant and to be unoffensive simply is not so great that the government requires some legal prerogative to enforce it.
