Bill: Call for early elections, August 3625

Details

Submitted by[?]: Solidarity Rutania

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: April 3626

Description[?]:

We, the Solidarity Rutania, call for early elections as soon as we can reach a consensus.

Close to one quarter of parliament is vacant due to the dissolution of the Rutanian Labourists. As the current term is quite young and no significant business of this session has been conducted, we should call early elections and take the composition of Parliament to the people and return with a new mandate.

MessageMr. Speaker,

This is pointless. As of the last poll, the Labourists were already an irrelevant factor. While a vote could be won with the following combinations: UPR/UV, SR/UV, UPR/SR - it could not be won in any circumstances with Labour and another party.

This does not change the balance of power that Rutanian voters decided upon, and we will not invalidate that determination for the benefit of a Solidarity power grab.

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life fictional references (eg. Gandalf, Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker).

Random quote: First and second class seats on public transport shall be BANNED! We are all FIRST CLASS people, regardless of whether we are rich or poor and can afford or not afford to pay for a more expensive seat. From now on, all seats on trains, buses, trams, planes and so on shall be the SAME. We will all travel in the SAME way, TOGETHER. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party
