Bill: School-Leaving Discouragement Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Likatonian Bitter Cynics

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3632

Description[?]:

It is our belief that everyone should be required to get a university education. That way, if someone complains about being trapped in a cycle of low-wage jobs and poverty, we know that it's their own damn fault for getting a useless degree, rather than "society's fault" for making them drop out or some other nonsense.

Random quote: "John Burroughs has stated that experimental study of animals in captivity is absolutely useless. Their character, their habits, their appetites undergo a complete transformation when torn from their soil in field and forest. With human nature caged in a narrow space, whipped daily into submission, how can we speak of its potentialities?" - Emma Goldman
