Message | Mr. Speaker, While we agree with federalism on some issues, we cannot support this bill. If the people of a region dislike cannabis, that is fine, but they should not force others to be deprived of it as well. As for child labour, we believe that this could be an issue left to local governments, but we still prefer the current law. Perhaps the "additional regulations" on child labour can be left to local governments while keeping it legal nationwide, but we need to have a certain level of regulations to ensure that the children aren't abused. We are strongly against foreigners owning our companies. We fear that the oligarchs in the Eastern part of the nation will allow their foreign families to gain majority shares in those businesses. -- Reuben Landau, Finance Minister |
