| Message | People should not make the decision to abort a child late in the pregnancy as it demonstrably causes more pain for the foetus. However, a woman should have the rights over her body, so this is definitely a sensible compromise. As for government funding, we, Wildrose, view this as elective surgery, which should not be funded by the government. However, we also espouse federalism and devolution and so our party is conflicted on this resolution. As this bill seeks to transfer the decision-making power down to local governments, we can agree to a step in this direction as reasonable. |
