Bill: Free Liberal: An affordable old age

Details

Submitted by[?]: Parti Minarchiste

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3639

Description[?]:

The free liberal party recognise that with increasing life expectancy it is inconceivable that a pension age of 60 is sustainable. A retirement age of 68 reflects what is affordable and results in older people being able to make a valuable contribution to the workplace without being forced to retire before their time.

MessageIt is not the government's role to determine when people can and cannot work, defined by an arbitrary number of years after they were born.
However, while it does come under government's realm of interferences, it should be raised as high as possible, to reflect the increase in life expectancy.
