Bill: Re-Classification of Hosians - 1st Presidium
Details
Submitted by[?]: Great National Republican Guard
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 3640
Description[?]:
Hosians were a big part of society prior to the arrival of the Karavs and the neo-Nationalists that lead the GNRG and NLA today. Hosianism, however, is a dangerous religion and Hosian governments around the world continue to sponsor terrorism, both in physical forms and psychologically - brainwashing people with the idea that they are below some imaginary man in the sky. Humans are above that. If Hosians do not want to have all rights, and they want to truly show their humility, we should allow them to do that. Since Hosianism is a major part of our history, we can include it in our modern nation by designation the Hosian as the official national animal of Lodamun. This way, Hosian refugees who come to Lodamun can remain Hosians, but without the full rights of the humans who embrace the Lodamese National(ist) identity. We are giving them a choice, not an obligation. While our humans can't register as being Hosian, these animals can. We assure the world that they will not be mistreated; as our national animal, they will be protected. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, what you mean is to allow Hosians in our country, but to classify them as animals? Is that right? Herman Devos P&A chairman |
Date | 18:42:45, March 20, 2014 CET | From | Social Anarchist Party | To | Debating the Re-Classification of Hosians - 1st Presidium |
Message | Mr. Speaker, As much as we find this proposal amusing, we cannot allow the Housians to be a national symbol of the Great Democratic Republic of Lodamun. Not only is this an insult to the Andalay Beach Dragon, we do not wish to have any of our national symbols to reflect an entity we fundamentally disagree with and are not proud of. We do not agree with changing the highly revered Andalay Beach Dragon from our National Animal to the Housians. -- Nigel Gaines, Education and Culture |

Message | Mr. Speaker, In response to Chairman Devos, yes. Hosians are already allowed in our country, given that they convert to Lodamese Nationalism as a part of integration before they can become citizens. Instead of forcing them to convert, they can live here as animals instead of human citizens. It will be their choice. -- Bruno Vicente Arce, GNRG Spokesman on Health & Social Services |
Date | 20:59:50, March 20, 2014 CET | From | Grand Nationalist Fraction | To | Debating the Re-Classification of Hosians - 1st Presidium |
Message | Mr. Speaker, I would have to consider Mr. Gaines' remark. And I wonder: isn't changing our national ANIMAL to Hosian just a way to annoy the Hosians, let's say in Hulstria, where our former president was banned (which never should have happened)? Herman Devos |

Message | Mr. Speaker, They annoy us, why not? And at least we give them a choice. -- Bruno Vicente Arce, GNRG Spokesman on Health & Social Services |
Date | 21:08:23, March 20, 2014 CET | From | Grand Nationalist Fraction | To | Debating the Re-Classification of Hosians - 1st Presidium |
Message | Mr. Speaker, as much as we agree with Mr. Arce, we do have to consider Mr. Gaines' point. Do we really want a Hosian to be our national animal? Maybe we can give Hosians a status of protected animals, being out of hunting season of course... Vince Urbain Minister of Internal Affairs |
Date | 21:18:49, March 20, 2014 CET | From | Great National Republican Guard | To | Debating the Re-Classification of Hosians - 1st Presidium |
Message | Mr. Speaker, We believe simply classifying them as typical animals will offend many countries. Making them the national animals would allow them to again be a part of our society, as they have played an important role in the past. -- Bruno Vicente Arce, GNRG Spokesman on Health & Social Services |
