Bill: Justice Reforms of 3641

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3642

Description[?]:

In Article 1, we propose such as we believe that the right to vote is an unalienable right of every citizen and just because one has committed a crime, that does not mean they are not citizens.

In Article 2, we refute the death penalty as a primitive form of justice. In-fact, we find it hard to consider the death penalty as justice, rather the word revenge is more suitable. Keeping in mind our relatively progressive constitution, we should this nation of condoned revenge.

MessageArticle 1: No, until they are determined rehibilitated or have paid back their debt to society they can not be considered to have a sound mind to vote.

Article 2: No, if they prove too dangerous even in prison and there is no chance of rehibilitation then death penalty is the only option. Now if you wanted to change it to "The death penalty is not applied, except for terrorism, treason and crimes against mankind" then I might agree.
