Voting deadline: January 3643
Description[?]:
From NBM Minister of Science and Technology, Aben Shinken "We have always believed that the skies have long instilled within us a sense of awe, foreboding and perspective. We currently have numerous space agencies, competing for contracts for our grand Beluzian space programme. I propose that we bring together these fragmented parts into one greater whole, in order to forge ahead with our spread to the stars. We need a greater push to the skies, to stimulate our science, and become like the stars themselves!" Fragmentation and competition serves its purpose. In this instance however, we believe that greater coordination, leadership and direction can occcur with a unified Beluzian Space Corporation, under public oversight. We are very excited about this proposal, and would eagerly engage in any debate necessary to push this bill through. |

Message | We would not oppose this. What safeguards would be in place to ensure the diversity of future research? Our concern is that a single agency will grow bureaucratic and closed-minded over time. Can the minister give assurances that the state-owned Beluzian Space Programme will protect and retain the research autonomy of its smaller concerns and cooperatives? |
Date | 04:29:39, March 26, 2014 CET | From | New Beluzian Movement | To | Debating the Beluzian Space Expansion Bill |
Message | Aben Shinken - "We would take the opportunity to create a system which not only attracts the best and brightest, but also fulfils a collaborative and horizontalist structure within the state organisation, ensuring a regular stimulation of ideas from all sectors. We share your concerns, the stagnation of a new space programme would be an enormous insult to the movement. Therefore we will work as strongly as possible to ensure bureaucracy does not stifle energetic, scientific minds. If we agree this has not worked, we will work to change this structure to something different in uture" |

Message | We are wholeheartedly in support of this bill and the possibilities it holds for the future colonisation of distant planets. The Feministas Verdes await the day that we can establish and all-female colony without the insidious interference of our male inferiors. |

Message | Michael Groves (Syndicalist Infrastructure and Transport spokesperson) "You'd better hope then that your colony isn't founded on a planet filled with giant alien spiders" |

Message | Tony Wedgewood (Syndicalist Party Leader) "Spokesperson Groves has been sacked. That kind of lazy stereotyping stems from precisely the kind of misogyny and oppression our founding priciples oppose. Assembly Member Domeneque Farina has been appointed our new Infrastructure and Transport Spokesperson." |
