Bill: The Revised Common Sense Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: New Beluzian Movement
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3643
Description[?]:
The Movement, as part of its commitment to ravaging the stagnant rot floating at the top of our political system, has decided to continue the movement of the monolithic Common Sense through parliament. The original text of our most erstwhile coalition partners - "In the wake of the wake of the new Cabinet, the political elite has shown its own manic fear of the threat the Freedom party poses to their cushy jobs, fat cat salaries and spineless principles. Even the New Beluzian Movement, which had limited promise in the reinvigoration of our glorious nation, has sold out to join the stuffy status-quo. As the only true opposition to the government, we'll be putting forward our own alternative agenda as established through our sacred bond with the great people of Beluzia. To vote against these proposals is flying in the face of common sense, is an affront to the traditions of Beluzia and is paramount to treason." ADDENDUM We have also added two proposals of our own - greater levels of personal weapon ownership, and the devolution of concealed carry laws to the state level. We hope these proposals will win support from our cabinet partners. We call for a free vote on issues of: Adoption Law, Abortion Law, and upon tax changes. The proposed tax changes in the previous bill will reduce our ability to fund our increase in military spending |

Message | You can dress it up in all the pseudo-intellectual wankery of campus hipsters, but even simple-minded Syndicalists from the provinces know reaction when they see it. We'd encourage you to cease your legislative trolling and your fig-leaf support for the fascists in the "Freedom" Party. These are Yesterday's policies from Yesterday's party. |
Date | 09:27:22, March 28, 2014 CET | From | National Federalist Party | To | Debating the The Revised Common Sense Bill |
Message | While there are in support of most of this bill. There are is one aspect that goes against our core beliefs of states rights. Article 2 takes power away from the local authorities and centralise it with the government. We believe that local authorities should have the power over their legislation. In this case energy should be run at the state level as the authorities know the area and its power demands. |
Date | 09:38:18, March 28, 2014 CET | From | New Beluzian Movement | To | Debating the The Revised Common Sense Bill |
Message | Yesterdays party recently annihilated us all in the polls, and are currently Today's party. Our split with the 'Greens' has reduced our voting capital. We have our legislative agenda, as do the the protofascists, and the voting public of Beluzia have made clear their perspectives. You cannot always have your way, and nor can we, and we are glad for this discord. |

Message | We will create a list of areas of contention, which we will encourage a free vote upon. As the NFP have requested, we will change article two and replace it with a federalist agenda. We are currently working on this bill, so continue to supply us with perspectives as we go through. |

Message | Due to our green priorities, we will be unable to support this bill if If Article 1, Article 7, Article 14 remain. Given the majority of our member's view on personhood, the proposal made in Article 11 to limit stem cell research to adult stem cells seems backwards and unnecessary. Additionally, it will hinder scientific and medical progress. However, we would be willing to vote in favour of the bill, including this proposal, if articles 1, 7 and 14 are removed. There is continuing discussion over article 5, but the majority of our members are in support. Other than these objections we are generally in support of this bill. |
Date | 12:51:47, March 28, 2014 CET | From | Feministas Verdes | To | Debating the The Revised Common Sense Bill |
Message | The article numbers appear to have changed. To clarify, article 1 was the legalisation of private hunting and fishing technologies, article 2 was the legalisation of whaling, article 14 was the relaxation of regulations on pollution, article 5 was the compulsory singing of the national anthem in schools and, as is clear in my previous comment, article 11 was a proposal to increase regulation on stem cell research. |
Date | 14:10:59, March 28, 2014 CET | From | Freedom Party | To | Debating the The Revised Common Sense Bill |
Message | We see the clear common sense benefits this bill would provide and will vote for it. |
