Bill: Drug legalisation
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Federalist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3655
Description[?]:
It is time we allowed people the choice to live how they want to live. There is nothing that makes drugs different from alcohol. So why are they banned? They should be legal for the average citizen to decide what to do with them. Legalising drugs means that is taken out of the hands of crooks and placed into the hands of legal, respectable businesspeople. This is then taxed, generating money for the government, both local and national. If there happens to be an accident, which can happen with alcohol, the legality of drugs means there will be no hesitation in calling the emergency services. |

Message | We are in favour of the first article, but feel that drug sales should be handled by the state alone. If the second article were changed to "The government is entirely responsible for the controlled sales of recreational drugs through operating stores and other locations", we would be able to vote in favour happily. |
