Bill: Labour Rights Act of 3645
Details
Submitted by[?]: Rutanian Republican Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3645
Description[?]:
Trade Unions in this commonwealth are built on a system of democracy. Union officials are voted in by their membership, who are in no way forced to join a labour union, to responsibly manage the affairs of the organisation. Much like our legislature, they should not have to be dragged through this overly burdensome double standard of proof. We don't have to go through a referendum for every decision we make here. It's time we stop being hypocrites, and fully and truly support the representative democracy we claim to stand for. |

Current: Trade unions must by law hold a ballot of all members before going on strike, majority approval of those that vote is needed from its members.
Proposed: Trade unions are not required by law to hold a ballot before striking.

Message | Speaker, What is it with United Voice and removing sensible limitations on leaders? Union members could elect a member and disagree with a decision to strike. A strike is an important right and an important act. It needs to be endorsed by those workers conducting it. Emily Dawkins-Stratton, DSF Leader. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
