In the name of God, the most compassionate, the most Merciful Article 1 The Sultanate declares itself to be a Majatran Abadi nation and the source of law shall be from the teachings of the Abadi faith as recited by the Last Prophet, Ahmad Article 2 Only male members of the Razama tribe shall be fit for the office of Sultan. The incumbent Sultan shall nominate an heir (the Crown Prince) according to the rules of seniority and after consulting with relevant parties. Article 3 The Sultan shall serve as both head of state and of government. He shall promulgate laws through Royal Decrees. These has to be consistent with the laws of Abadism. Article 4 The Shura shall advise the Sultan and his Ministers at their request. The Shura shall have no powers of initiating legislation nor shall its approval be necessary. Article 5 Members of the Shura must be observant (religiously) males nominated by the Sultan and elected in the elections which are to be held every five years. Article 6 No taxes shall be imposed unless in the case of need. A Khums shall be demanded of each Abadi citizen totalling one fifth of all annual income. |
