Message | Definitely in support of the proposal on right to work and corporation tax. Note that a party from earlier had the corporation tax at 50%. I forced a compromise with Aloria First at 20% when they wanted 30% and then pushed down again to 16% with the help of the National Party. So this may be difficult to pass, but we can always see. As for the first one, I'm the one who instituted the proposal as it stands, but in many cases local governments decide best. So I would support this bill. |

Message | Mr.Speaker, This bill provides many advantages for businesses, child labour, open shops, and industry. I am a strong believer in devolution and as many issues as we possibly can should be devolved. For example Child Labour. Local Authorities have the integrity to enforce the fact that children aren't slave labour and should be safeguarded. Secondly, under this bill Open Shops shall be made legal. All businesses whether they are small, medium or large should be actively encouraged to start up business in Aloria. And this bill will ensure this. Furthermore, in order to entice some of the largest corporations in the world to start business up in Aloria, we propose a Corporation Tax cut from 16% to 8%. Not only does this entice large corporations to settle their businesses in Aloria, but this would create jobs for Alorians. Also, at present foreign investors are limited to how much they can invest. If anyone in the world wants to invest in Aloria, then who are we to deny them. Just because they come from a different part of the world, does not mean that they should be excluded in investing in businesses and investing in Aloria as a result. In this bill, companies that provide vital goods and services to the country and Alorians, then we will protect and keep them afloat in times of need. Rest assured, this will not mean a massive nationalising program - but we would be the life raft for struggling companies, and we also keep people in jobs as we are saving failing businesses from closure. I commend this bill to the chamber! |

Message | There are further proposals here since my last post. Definitely for the foreign investment proposal. For the luxury goods tax, I would support a cut, the problem being that currently we would be in deficit. 3.8*50% + 19*50% = 1.9 + 9.5 = 11.4 > 9.5. A cut of the tax to 12% would give us 3.8*50% + 19*25% = 1.9 + 4.75 = 6.65 < 9.5. This would leave us with a healthy surplus of ~2.85 million. Finally, we are opposed to the proposal on government bailouts and like it how it stands. |

Message | Mr.Speaker, We are prepared to compromise on the amendment regarding Luxury Goods Tax by the Wildrose Alliance, but we will not be prepared to move on the government bailouts. These would be temporary nationalisation measures to reinstate companies finances, thus saving jobs and livelihoods. |

Message | I opposed articles 2,3,4 and 5. |
