Description[?]:
Herr Präsident, this bill, through a combination of adjusting wage standards to a level more suitable for young job-seekers and cutting bureaucracy by eliminating unnecessary regulation, aims to stimulate the job market in order to create more opportunities especially for those who the Sozialmonitor '60 has identified as most affected by poverty. We urge the house to pass it as a means of allowing entrepreneurs to kick-start our economy by employing more workers. Wolfgang Hilgers, MdR LBU-Budenlar Wirtschaftsminister |

Message | Herr Präsident, This is an outrage that will upset order. Partly for low-earning employees, who risk getting competed out by the lumpenproletariat - those who have nothing and will work for almost nothing. And partly for customers, whose safety are at risk in the name of "job creation". What we see here is the eclipse of a form of neoliberalism that ignores the realities of the average person, and leaves those least among us behind. Erich Morgenstern, KSRP |

Message | Herr Präsident, Apart from the fact that this is tantamount to fanning the flames in order to combat a forest fire, as the LBU government has once more proven its total commitment to the same failed solutions, it is also an assault on family values. Quite apart from the fact that we have moved for a living wage, the downgrading of the family subsistence income shows how little value the government is placing on families. By this bill, caring for your family will be made a luxury thousands of Crownlander families will not be able to afford, with all the accompanying consequences. Message | Herr Präsident, I am of the opinion that both gentlemen's allegations deserve a stern response. First, let me turn to Herr Morgenstern, who apparently has abandoned the sole noble principle of the traditional left, namely its exceptionlass solidarity with the working class. Apparently, the so-called reformed left-wing now differentiates between skilled workers and the "Lumpenproletariat", denying the latter their right to seek employment and earn experiences in order to defend the privileges erected by unions only for the upper crust of the working class. The LBU, on the other hand, does not make this cynical distinction, as we believe that each individual should have the same freedom of contract to work for any conditions he deems appropriate. Secondly, Herr Stolcker's comments reveal that he does not really care for the young unskilled workers who are kept out of the labor market due to governmental wage decrees. These people in almost all cases have not even yet founded a family, and if we do not want to deny them any opportunity to participate in work life then we must not impose a minimum wage so high that one requires the skills to produce at least twice as much as an unskilled worker in order to even gain the chance of finding a job. Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
