Herr Präsident,

this treaty, which originally emerged from an agreement about providing assistance and aid in the infrastructural field to the Zardic federation, will increase our sphere of free trade and bring mutual benefit to both countries involved. MessageHerr Praesident,

We refuse to be dragged into the warmongering the Zardic Federation is known for. You say cooperation, they probably see military ally. They are already making aggressive moves against Imperium Selucia. We believe in alliance with Gao-Showan nations across the globe.

MessageHerr Präsident,

Herr Ohara should not be ridiculous. There is no word in the treaty that could even be interpreted in such a manner. I think that it is crucial for us to be open to the world, and I stand with Herr Portenkirchner and the government in this.

MessageHerr Präsident,

the Oppositionschef is quite right when he points out that this treaty does not contain any clause whatsoever that bears even the slightest relation to military issues. We are not a banana republic, but a first world constitutional democracy under the rule of law where the government abides strictly to what the law authorizes it to do, nothing more and nothing less.

MessageGicho-sama,

Very well but do not say we did not warn you when the Zards call in their debts. A word can be interpreted in a thousand different ways especially by warmongers. KK is not isolationst but we think we should avoid entanglements with warmongers.

MessageHerr Präsident,

The Zards are, at the moment, quite rightly making a stand against the persecution of Hosians in Selucia. I'd say that occupies them. Besides, they are half a world away and the Crownlands are an important player on the continental and world stage. I'd say that gives us enough reason not to fear them forcing us to do anything that is not in the treaty.

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.
