Details
Submitted by[?]: Freiheitsdemokraten
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3665
Description[?]:
Herr Präsident, The KSRP seeks to impose restrictions on foreign interests meddling with our private sector. These interests rarely have the best of Crownlanders in mind, and are often found ignoring local practices or customs. By giving the state right to veto all such investments, we can safeguard our national interests from multinational predators seeking to exploit our natural resources or our workforce, whilst keeping the door open for benign interests and invesments that are helpful to our cause. Erich Morgenstern, KSRP |

Message | Herr Präsident, Herr Morgenstein talks about the economy in collectivist terms as if we had a central planning system. In a free market, there is no such thing as "our private sector", "our workforce", "our resources" or "our cause" - even though in the end it will always benefit society as a whole, but not because all market participators have a state-decreed "general good" on their mind when they make their economic decisions, but precisely because they follow their own specific paths and interests, which they must make compatible to the demands of their fellow citizens in order to be successful. Only these individuals can judge whether allowing for foreign investment and co-operation in their business is a good thing, not some faraway bureaucrat in the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Message | Herr Präsident, The gentleman from the Liberals seem to believe that people are islands floating around in some endless ocean. We are not. What people do with their resources, especially related to foreign interests - affects the Cronwlander nation as a whole. We just want to give the government this option - the option to veto these interest if necessary. Not a total ban. Why do liberals seek to deny the authorities a tool to protect national interests when necessary? Eric Morgenstern, KSRP |

Message | Herr Präsident, the constant slandering of free market positions from the part of the KSRP must be exposed as the perpetuation of a lie. If we considered people atomized individuals, we would work for an underdeveloped subsistence economy where everyone produces for his own need solely, and not a globalized market of capital, goods and labor, formed by the countless complex interactions of capitalists, workers and consumers. As for the "option" the KSRP wishes to give to government, we'd rather not equip the state with tools opening the door for all kinds of favoritism, protectionism, interventionism and dirigism.
