Message | OOC: Sorry, I didn't see this proposal before I made my own :P |
Date | 13:24:23, May 30, 2014 CET | From | Labor United | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of July 3673 |
Message | OOC: Jesus Christ, my IQ must be lower than my seat share! I thought I had voted for my own proposal, and then this new one popped up, so I assumed it was yours PWG, without really bothering to look at it. Jeez... :) |
Date | 15:21:02, May 30, 2014 CET | From | Progressive Workers of Gaduridos | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of July 3673 |
Message | The PWG refuses to work with a party that switches its support from left to right at the sight of a cabinet table. If Labour finds that it suits their interests better to go into government with the Tories, the PWG will gladly fight for the rights and welfare of workers from the opposition benches. |

Message | As the kingmaker following the 3673 elections, it has been the task of the LUn to provide a major party with a working majority. After having been rejected by the Regressives, we have had no other choice but to tolerate a Conservative government. |
Date | 01:31:43, May 31, 2014 CET | From | Progressive Workers of Gaduridos | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of July 3673 |
Message | Indeed, the voters did give the LUn a kingmaker position, probably under the hope that it would be a responsible kingmaker. Not one walking around threatening the other parties either to take an entirely unreasonable offer or languish in opposition. Maybe voters gave LUn a kingmaker position with the hope that it would start a dialogue with the other parties, not make a "take-it-or-leave-it" offer to one party and threaten to sell its votes to the other if they do not get what they want. What a shame. What a shame. |

Message | OOC: by the way, for the sake of gameplay, I think the Tories should propose a new cabinet. If it gets majority support, then it will become a minority government. If it fails, then a second round of negotiations, or a new election should be called. |
Date | 04:37:50, May 31, 2014 CET | From | Progressive Conservative Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of July 3673 |
Message | OOC: I don't really understand what happened or what is going on here, but I think that PWG should propose the new Cabinet, as Beatrice Tennant, the current Head of State, is a PWG member. |
Date | 05:20:03, May 31, 2014 CET | From | Progressive Workers of Gaduridos | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of July 3673 |
Message | OOC: but I think we passed a bill that put parliamentarism into full force - we allowed any party to propose a cabinet, regardless of who the HoS is. And as political traditions go, the party with the most seats usually are given the first chance to form a government. |
Date | 05:29:20, May 31, 2014 CET | From | Progressive Workers of Gaduridos | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of July 3673 |
Message | I task the Conservative Party with forming a government. Should that fail or should the Conservative Party refuses to do so, the task shall fall onto the Progressive Workers, and then to Labor United respectively. Should no government be formed after these efforts, I would have no other choice but to ask the Gaduridan people to once again give their wisdom and call an early election. - Beatrice Tennant, President of the Federal Union- |
