Bill: Space Exploration De-Regulation Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Orange Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3677

Description[?]:

Space exploration, whilst vital in it's purpose and function, is too heavy a cost for the tax payer to bear solely. This is a common sense area that can be licences out to the private space sector whilst government still having input through the filtering process of issuing permits. I trust that this noble house will see sense and economic gain in this act as well as the potential for greater financial investment.

ToDebating the Space Exploration De-Regulation Act
MessageWe indeed went through the "young space age" as the time can be called when the great pioneers headed out into a world completely unknown to mankind, and when they did this in cooperation with the state guiding the space exploration efforts. And indeed there will be the trend towards privatization of this sector as technology advances and becomes more easily available for the public. Although it is yet to early to completely rely on private companies to work solely on those matters.

Thus, the Socialist Party proposes a compromise, allowing private companies to develop technology and infrastructure while working together with the current Dorvish Space Agency. Later, further loosening the governments responsibility can surely be discussed.
