Voting deadline: May 3677
Description[?]:
It must be seen as central to our nations moral fibre that we take our responsibility to international development seriously. We have resources to invest and support in struggling nation states, it is therefore the will of the Orange Alliance that this house approves the raising of our international aid budget. Full benefits of this can be discussed in the debate phase of this bill before it is moved to a vote. - Suzanne Hart, MRDK for Fairfax South Orange Alliance spokesperson for Foreign Affairs |

Message | While we see the Orange Alliance's plans to significantly lower government expenses by handing over the aeronautics and space industry to private companies it hereby request to increase spending financial and material resources on an international level. While the Socialist Party does certainly not disagree with helping foreign countries when help is needed, we would like the Orange Alliance to elaborate on this contradiction in their policy before deciding anything. |
Date | 21:27:13, June 05, 2014 CET | From | Orange Alliance | To | Debating the Foreign Aid Act |
Message | The Orange Alliance accepts this point but as our party aims will attest, we are seeking to dramatically increase our economic input from the privatization of certain industries, such as energy and transportation. With the added revenue that we seek to gain from these measures (if and when we receive enough votes to support these measures) then we will have more money to play with. As part of our plan to privatize or part privatize certain industries we are seeking to release some areas of management from government control such as the space industry. However, as you can appreciate the wait to gain the necessary legislation to release these funds is not likely in this legislative term however the needs of foreign aid are now and immediate. Therefore we would like to see funds given now to assist areas of struggle and hope to see these funds returned through private industry. I hope this clears up our position.
