Message | Colleagues, Mister Minister of Finance, a lot has changed in Lodamun since the new coalition got control. We have to be honest, some of the measures were good ones. In Finance Department, there was the biggest change. We have supported the budget proposal, believing that we needed to go forward and trusting the Minister of Finance. Now we see that there was a negative spiral in our economy. We understand that change can bring some negative effects at first. We would like to ask the Minister of Finance: Is this negative spiral over? Do you predict a positive change in the near future? Do you consider changing taxes and/or budgets? Message | Mr. Speaker, I don't see which measures were good ones. -- Kristov DeKarav XII, GNRG Spokesman for Finance |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This is a severe disappointment. We call for a full investigation and report to be conducted by the Ministry of Finance into the negative GDP growth for consecutive quarters; officially marking the beginning of a recession for our nation. If it possible we'd like to see the employment numbers as well. ((Not sure if this is possible)). - Amanda DeGualle Finance Critic for the CAP |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The changes are all a result of the new government's economic policies. We saved the statistics from April 3675, when we were last in power, and compared them to April 3677, after the new government's new budget and tax schemes were in effect. We are not in much of a deep recession. A recession would mean our Potential GDP would be significantly higher than our GDP, i.e. our Potential GDP would remain high and the GDP would fall. Instead, both the Potential GDP and GDP have fallen since the new government's handling of the Ministry of Finance. We appreciate more questions being posed for me to search for more statistics, and we would like the government's intentions stated. We want to know what the government thinks it has accomplished. We have only seen failure, so far. -- Kristov DeKarav XII, GNRG Spokesman for Finance |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We fully agree with the Great National Republican Guard in the call for the Minister of Finance, and for the current administration, to account for this staggering GDP retraction. As a side note, the Conservative Alliance will consider two or more consecutive quarters of GDP retraction as a recession, and continued retraction a depression in line with our understanding of economics. - Amanda DeGualle Finance Critic for the CAP |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The PPFD-FP government still hasn't told us what they had hoped to accomplish. The PPFD has remained mostly silent, and seems to want to avoid assessment of their performance and decisions. Is Finance Minister Steve Hole satisfied with what has been done? Is he dissatisfied with what has been done? The people need to know. We want 3 simple questions answered objectively, i.e. in terms of numbers instead of ideological blabber: 1) What target did the government intend to meet? 2) Was the government's target met? 3) What are the benefits of meeting the target? 4) Have the benefits, of meeting the target, outweighed the costs? -- Reuben Landau, Former Finance Minister, Chairman of the GNRG, Opposition Leader |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Considering under the new coalition, we believe it is best for there to be clear transparency moving forward on economic matters. What exactly is the GNRG's and the new coalition's economic target goal, and how do you propose on meeting it. Specifically we are looking to the new Finance Minister Kristov DeKarav XII, to respond. That said, we call on the former Finance Minister from the PPFD to also answer the questions posed. - Rick Hobbs Leader of the Conservative Alliance |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Our goal is to revert the changes of the last coalition. Specifically, in numbers, we want to have high government spending in key areas, like Education, Health, etc. We still want the PPFD to tell us the beenfits of their reforms to the economy, because we still haven't seen any. -- Kristov DeKarav XII, Finance Minister |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The figures have been updated to include information from April 3681. -- Benjamin Landau, Chairman of the GNRG, President of Lodamun ------- OOC: The comment that I made, at 23:32:15, June 09, 2014 CET, should have said "Benjamin Landau" instead of "Reuben Landau" - sorry. |
