Message | This issue is pretty much a leftover. :( Back in the old days, various provinces had different populations, so it meant something. The current law being closer to the OOC USA House of Representatives, with more populous provinces getting more representatives; the proposed change being closer to the OOC USA Senate, with each province getting the same number of representatives even if it has drastically more or fewer people in it than another province might. http://classic.particracy.net/viewnews.php?newsid=272708 Please look at the populations of the provinces. Since the numbers were getting unrealistic (and increasingly so with each year), Wouter changed Particracy to make each province have a roughly stable population, and each nation about equal at 100 million. Unfortunately, the provinces all received roughly _equal_ populations too. Which renders this issue moot. :( |
