Bill: Sustainable Forestry
Details
Submitted by[?]: Telamon Social Democratic Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2164
Description[?]:
While the current legislation regulates logging by allowing it only by licence it has no regulations concerning the actions to be undertaken once the logging has been completed. To allow sustainable logging and forrestry in the long run we should also require replanting of trees after logging has taken place. In the medium and long run this would enable us to forgo logging of some of the older forrests as demand for timber could be met with the output of planted forests. Thus we should demand replantation of trees at replacement level for all logging taking place in Telamon. |
