Message | toomuch book are behind held by private interest, we believe everyone should have the right to read what ever they please, even if they have no money and a good way to do is to control a vast public library that will allow poor people to read, and this will aloow them to write, the best way to learn how to write is to read books, this will improve poor people and increase their chance to get a job, who will hire someone who can't write his own language, we believe this is need to attack analphabeltism in our nation. Message | Senor Presidente, Public libraries are a fantastic idea, and we enthusiastically support the creation of a Terra-class libraries network to put knowledge and reading within the reach of every citizen. This is a project far worthier of public investment than, say, hosting the World Cup. Danki Victorino Santillian Delegate Speaker Partido Nacional |

Message | The DLCP is misunderstanding the concept and practice of local governance. Whatever facility local governments own and manage are also called public facilities. The PWG is not against public libraries. We just think that they are better funded and managed by local governments. The debate between the PWG and DLCP is about decentralisation vs. centralisation. Not privatisation vs. nationalisation. |
