Bill: ET Proposal (Exclusions of Traitors Proposal)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Rapture Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3705

Description[?]:

Proposing a Cabinet - The Liberal Secularist Party is nothing more than a traitorous parasite among the other respectable parties here in parliament. The Rapture Party would like to remove this burden and give the power to the lesser parties so they can have their say and not be subjugated by a plot by the Liberal Secularists to gain ultimate power over the commonwealth.

MessageRapture Party, are you afrai of losing power you must resort to slander to stay in power? Until evidence is shown of any traitors in our government, this cabinet proposal is just idiotic.

MessageIdiotic? I'm the one who's being pushed out of the cabinet for no reason despite holding on to the majority of the vote and the presidency. The Liberal Secularists have passed laws and made decisions in their past which consolidates their power and their own agenda over the majority vote and this recent cabinet proposal which kicked (once again) the most influential party in parliament out of the cabinet shows that.

Really I should be calling you a traitor to the people because you proposed that cabinet proposal but since it was your first blunder and you hold the second most votes in parliament we'll let it slide. The Liberal Secularists on the other hand voted for it because it gave them more power than they've ever had despite being in third place.

Yes we are afraid of losing power because it cannot be trusted in the hands of those who form alliances in parliament to get rid of the party who holds the voice of the people. At least we gain power through legitimate means however.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically

Random quote: "Idealism is fine; but as it approaches reality, the cost becomes prohibitive." - William F. Buckley, Jr.
