Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal-Progressive Union
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2165
Description[?]:
This bill will allow the private ownership of firearms for those citizens who have no history of violent crime, or a mental illness serious enough to prevent ownership of a gun. These restrictions will ensure that those citizens who can legally obtain a gun can do so, while preventing those who should not own a gun from doing so. Gun ownership by citizens who are law-abiding and contributors to society should be allowed by the government, and also protected as a right by the government. |

Message | It is time we allowed the private ownership of guns in Hobrazia. |

Message | Good grief no!!! Gun ownership leads to nothing more than an increased risk of increasingly violent criminal activity and a consequent increase in the risk to public security. Once one person is allowed to own a gun, then another must own a gun in order to attempt to guarantee their own safety leading to a massive proliferation of freely available weapons and increasing risk to public safety. We don't care what side of the "permissive - restrictive" position is held, allowing the proliferation of firearms is a foolish course of action and we call upon all right thinking parties to vote down this bill that can have no other effect than to increase the risk of public danger. |

Message | We'll support. If guns are illegal, then only criminals will have them. |

Message | "If guns are illegal, then only criminals will have them." - Which part of our current law says that people can't own guns? There is no problem with allowing only firearms that are professionally required and allowing firearms to be sold to the general public increases the risk that "crimes of passion" lead to death rather than injury. We again call for reason from parties and to vote against this foolish bill which will lead to ever more dangerous streets and can lead to nothing more than a weapons race within this country and the criminals now not only have to have more powerful weapons than the police but the public as well. |
