MessageMadam Prime Minister --

After the serious fire damage seen throughout the Bozarland province due to poor local control of fireworks displays -- nearly 5,000,000 RUT in damage, and poor little Suzy Conrad, her face will never be the same -- I believe that fireworks are best left in the hands of licensed professionals, period. All else would enable more avoidable destruction and disfigurement.

I urge my colleagues to vote for this child-saving bill.

Sincerely,

Markus Holfield
Minister of Internal Affairs

MessageThis proposition would strengthen a centralized source of power in the nation, this would lead to an increasingly crippling blow if corruption were to leak into the government. Besides, mistakes are going to be made anyway, fireworks are by nature explosive and incendiary, but no one is going to outright ban all use of fireworks, which can display the joy and patriotism of the practitioners.

MessageMadam Prime Minister --

I would like to direct the UNSC more closely to the article of bill itself which states that there will indeed be fireworks displays for "joy and patriotism" purposes; this bill does not seek to "ban all use of fireworks." Rather, the bill seeks that fireworks be regulated more carefully to avoid the destruction we have seen of late.

Sincerely,
Markus Holfield
Minister of Internal Affairs

MessageMadam Speaker

I was stating that mistakes and injuries will continue to be made due to fireworks as long as fireworks are in use, and since no one wants to do away with fireworks then the injuries will continue.
