MessageMr. Speaker,

Would the revenue, after these tax cuts, be enough to cover the government's current budget? While we can easily answer this, we would like Hugo Wafowitz to tell us since he is the one proposing these cuts. We want to be assured that he understands what he is proposing.

My grandfather told me about the Aldermann administration, and how they promised that tax cuts and spending cuts would have helped the nation. They ruined our economy, and the GNRG had to fix it. We do not want to take that path again.

We present this bill before the presidium with good intentions. We would not like to damage the economy but grow it. I understand that we may have to re adjust and relocate funds towards matters that concern the current situations. We ask the minister of finance to not decide quickly on this but to look at this positively and to recognise the need to re adjust funds to deal with the current.

Mr Speaker our party would like to see more done with regards to agriculture and infrastructure. We understand there is no famine etc but we look at it as development. We would like to hear the minister of finance view on this?

MessageMr. Speaker,

If the DA's representative on Finance wants to see more done with regards to Agriculture and Infrastructure, why is he cutting taxes? We can't increase our spending if we're going to cut taxes like this. We will have to cut spending, so how would we re-allocate spending from anything to those areas?

We could increase tax slightly on higher level salaries as well as middle class incomes. Where it could be a win win situation for everyone. The government as well as the public.

This bill proposes a tax cut, not a tax increase.

This will only put us in debt because of the government's constant adding onto the national budget. The people deserve better.

We do not aprpeciate lies. The last time the government increased the budget was 38 years ago. We would love the DA to elaborate on their claim about "the government's constant adding" to the budget.

Due to the passing of the Health care act we believe this is adding to the states healthcare responsibilities and we believe this will eventually add strain to the system if not conducted properly. We did vote yes for it due to benefits the people. However we would like to see more private legitimate enterprise coming to lodamun to boost our economy. Obviously under the over site of the presidium members. When I am elected leader of the party this will be one of my objectives. Attract investment.

MessageMr. Speaker,

There was no budget increase resulting from the recent Healthcare bill. I specifically said that the current budget could handle the increased responsibilities. Government spending has not increased in the past 38 years.

MessageMr. Speaker,

if we change taxes, we should at the same time alter budgets.
We can only consider a positive vote with both of these aspects present in a proposition. We cannot handle these two matters seperately.
