Bill: More logical tax system

Details

Submitted by[?]: Skeptic Liberal Union

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3717

Description[?]:

Even through Bill Gates, Carlosa Slima, Amacio Ortega, Warren Buffet, Larry Ellison and other very rich people are very happy, that they can buy plenty of goods in Beluzia without any tax, the help for those with low income is neglible. It is , in fact, more efective to give some susidities directly to poor people, than support also the most rich (this system do exactly this). So we propose to bring at least some logic to the tax system.

MessageTo the Grand Consul. Who are these rich people you are referring to, we have never heard of them?

Once again, lies and more lies. Taxing essential goods disproportionately hits the poor people in Beluzia. Not that your liberal metropolitan elite would ever understand poverty and toil.

MessageIf you really wanted to tax the rich to help the poor you would raise the top rate of tax or create more thresholds, sadly you voted to cut the top rate of tax.

Or you'd increase the luxury goods tax. But of course you voted against such a measure.

Beluzia will never forgive and never forget.

MessageTo Freedom Party - pro primo: there is something in Internet called "GOOGLE" - You can look for ... :P Pro secundo: - you can not think, that the people are the cash cows !!! If the luxury tax is too high, thay will buy the goods abroad - so simple it is ! Especially the rich - and that tax will pay mainly the middle class !!! And partially the poor - they also sometimes the so called "luxury" goods. Pro tercio: If the tax system is the same for everybody (and everything), then also the rich pay more (simply because they buy more), and even more simple is the tax system even more efficient it is. And You can ever support the poor by leave them pay less income tax , or give some subsidities.

MessageNope. There's no such thing as "GOOGLE" in Beluzia either. Maybe on some other distant planet there is such a person or search engine, but not on this world.

I agree, the people aren't cash cows. So why is the Grand Consul intent on squeezing every penny out of the poorest in our society? When having to decide between heating and food, the tax on essential goods, or as is it ought to be called, the poverty tax, is devastating to those living on the breadline. Not that the liberal metropolitan elites would ever understand.

We'd also call into question the Grand Consul's ability to construct a sentence: "And You can ever support the poor by leave them pay less income tax , or give some subsidities." The people of Beluzia will be most concerned how their head of state conducts themselves in a national debate on such a critical issue.

Though if the Grand Consul is referring to tax cuts to the poorest, it is governments led by the Freedom Party that have on at least five occasions cut taxes for the poorest in our society or raised the threshold over the last 60 years. We are happy to compare our record to the liberal elites on helping the most disadvantaged.

MessageAlso, if the Grand Consul did care about giving tax cuts to the poorest in society, they would've not given the position of Finance Minister, the sole job of proposing tax rates, to the most passive and borderline niacin party, in terms of proposing bills, in the whole of Beluzia, Stanton House.
