Bill: Labour Force Age Adjustment - 3718
Details
Submitted by[?]: Great National Republican Guard
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3718
Description[?]:
Upon passage of this bill, the retirement age will be lowered. Lodamun has a productive economy that can support persons who are not working. Instead of having young persons unemployed, and old persons stuck in jobs, we can have elders retiring earlier. When elders retire earlier, the younger members of the labour force can take their jobs. We wouldn't be supporting unemployed persons for no reason; we would be supporting persons who have already contributed a fair share to society, and enabling others to contribute as well instead of forcing them to contribute nothing, and then blaming them for being unemployed. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I tend to be of the opinion that most of us learn responsibility by taking on responsibility, but first one must be given the opportunity to do so in a reasonable manner. Therefore, I am not opposed to this bill. I think that it might be a bit less controversial with a discussion on our current standards of education and how to best prepare our youth for responsibility. However, for this bill is up for vote we will vote yes anyway, and revisit the topic of education at a later date. ~ Delia Fairchild SLP Representative for Education and Culture |
