Message | Mr. Speaker, the costs of maintaining a full time army would be enormous. As for now, paramilitaries are used to maintain order in the nation, but they are tied to protocols. They cannot do whatever they feel like. Forbidding it would leave the nation without a policeforce. Maria Murphy-Spaak Internal Affairs Specialist for LNC |

Message | Mr. Speaker, While I oppose the bill, I must say that the nation wouldn't necessarily be left without a police force. Small security firms may exist without being classed as paramilitary groups. Paramilitary groups have acted as both police and military, but there were less armed security groups which only acted as police. -- George Huddleson, GNRG Spokesman on Justice |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We wish that this bill hadn't been put through so quickly, we were hoping to discuss the possibility of a full time army as the Volkspartij Van Endralon from Davostag Dominion Of Endralon has asked us to join their "crusade against despotism". As it is though, this bill is unlikely to get passed, even with SLP support. ~ Rowan Argall The President |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The military could have been reformed, even without the dismantling of paramilitary groups. -- Gordon Fertig, Chairman of the GNRG |
