Bill: Punishment for Blasphemy Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Monarchist Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3724

Description[?]:

We would prefer to take the current blasphemy laws off the statute book altogether, but since that is not possible, for the time being we propose instead to forbid the use of the death penalty for blasphemy, and to limit prison sentences for the offence to a maximum of 5 years.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Those who opposed this Bill should remember they are morally responsible for all the executions for blasphemy which take place from now on.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I wholeheartedly accept that responsibility. Death to the anti-state blasphemers, especially the Hosians.
