Bill: Public Decency Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conservative Monarchist Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3724
Description[?]:
The recent Sexual Diversity Rally saw some scenes which those of us with more traditional values would rather have not seen being carried out in public places. We mean no disrespect to those attending these rallies, or to gays and lesbians, or to anybody else, but we really feel it is reasonable to request that people refrain from taking part in sexually implicit actions whilst they are in public. Some things are better done privately. Anton Rietveld Chairman of the Conservative Monarchist Alliance |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Displays of public affection and obscenity laws.
Old value:: Sexual intercourse is illegal in public.
Current: All sexually implicit actions are illegal in public.
Proposed: All sexually implicit actions are illegal in public.

Message | Mr. Speaker, I wish to assure Phillipa Corazona that this Bill would not seek to ban kissing in public. Only really gratuitous displays with obvious sexual overtones would be affected by this. Anton Rietveld Chairman of the Conservative Monarchist Alliance |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We would like an MP from the CMA to tell us: - what exactly they saw at the rally that led them to propose this bill. - what exactly this bill would prohibit. -- George Huddleson, GNRG Spokesman on Justice |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We have seen reports and photographs from the rally of all sorts of indecent acts, including people simulating sadomasochistic acts whilst wearing nothing more than a g-string. This Bill would, as the description implies, forbid any act in public deemed to be "sexually implicit". Once any behaviour in public treads over that line, it becomes unacceptable. Message | Mr. Speaker, I personally believe that Chairman Rietveld is simply sexually-frustrated, and is jealous that others were having fun. -- Gordon Fertig, Chairman of the GNRG |

Date | 00:10:06, September 08, 2014 CET | From | Conservative Monarchist Alliance | To | Debating the Public Decency Act |
Message | Mr. Speaker, No, I wasn't there - that rally wasn't really my kind of scene. I hear, however, that some LNC and GNRG stormtroopers were there, wearing kinky leather costumes. Anton Rietveld Chairman of the Conservative Monarchist Alliance |
Date | 05:50:09, September 08, 2014 CET | From | Grand Nationalist Fraction | To | Debating the Public Decency Act |
Message | Mr. Speaker, although LNC does not have stormtroopers, I can admit that some partymembers visited the rally. And whilst they were not working or doing politics, we do not care for the least what they were wearing. Those who attended the festivities mention no such scenes. Paul Murphy-Spaak LNC chairman |

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer. |
