| In order to better administer elections in the country, these new structures are created to ensure a stronger political system. 1. The Department of Political Affairs is hereby created under the Internal Affairs Ministry to be headed by the Deputy Internal Affairs Minister. 2. Under this Department, the Division of Elections and the Division of Paramilitaries is created. 3. Under the Division of Elections, the Federal Elections Office is created to ensure fair and free elections, the Campaign Finance Regulatory Agency is created to ensure proper campaign finance laws are followed and the Party Registration Administration is formed to settle any legal disputes regarding parties and registered parties. 4. The Division of Paramilitaries is in charge of registering and regulating party paramilitary groups. |
