Bill: Whaling Reforms Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Green Party of Beluzia
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3729
Description[?]:
This bill is stop whaling. Currently commercial whaling is allowed and there quotas but this is not good enough. We see that whaling must be stopped for two key reasons. Firstly they are keystone species to preserve biodiversity. Secondly there is a moral imperative to stop whaling. Our current proposal is to stop whaling completely as we think killing them for scientific purposes is a vague and bad justification. If there is any objection to this bill we will consider compromising. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's stance on whaling.
Old value:: Commercial whaling is legal, but the government establishes whaling quotas.
Current: Whaling is illegal.
Proposed: Whaling is illegal.
