Message | Mr Speaker We find no need to violate the human rights of the unborn while we can still make advancements from non-essential stem cells. |

Message | Members of Parliament -- Passing this bill would seriously compromise the Ministry of Science and Technology's research and goal setting. I urge you to vote against this bill. Sincerely, Sven Neins Minister of Science and Technology |

Message | Mr Speaker We are not outright banning stem cell research. We are limiting it. And the children saved by this may one day advance science in a way that would have taken 10-20 years otherwise. And what gives us the right to sacrifice others who can not even speak up for themselves for a bit of extra stem cells. |

Message | Members of Parliament -- Fetuses that are already to be aborted should be used in stem cell research, otherwise the material is completely wasted; wouldn't it better to use these materials than to simply flush them down the drain? Sven Neins Minister of Science and Technology |

Message | Mr Speaker This bill was brought up because we believed it a violation of the unborn's human rights. There are laws that protect animals but not our own flesh and blood. This is because someone who is unborn can't cry out or fight back, make himself heard in any way. It's a legal for of murder and oppression, bordering on genocide. |

Message | Members of Parliament -- Hmm. I am confused by the UNSC's position on this matter. This bill is counter-intuitive to current Rutanian law -- we allow and fund abortions in this country; why would we not, then, allow the stem cells of fetuses already to be aborted to feed such research? As long as abortion is legal in our country, then we should be able to use fetal stem cells for research purposes. Sven Neins Minister of Science and Technology |

Message | Mr Speaker TSTG is making the error of seeing the children as a resource, not as a human being. Otherwise, to address TSTG's confusion, changing Rutainian law to consider Abortions for non-medical reasons murder is the next step. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We believe the UNSC is making the mistake of seeing a collection of cells as a child. While the LSP adamantly opposes late term abortions, we are also opposed to the other extreme, specifically the belief that a zygote equals a child. With this bill the UNSC would see that ideology trumps saving the lives of many suffering from debilitating, chronic illnesses. We urge all parties to oppose this governmental intrusion on the progress of science and medicine. Elizabeth Myers, MP Minister of Health and Social Services |
