Bill: Nuclear Weapons Policy Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Monarchist Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3729

Description[?]:

Lodamun should adopt a less aggressive and more responsible policy with regards to her policy on nuclear weapons use. These weapons are so terrible that if they must be used at all, they should only be used in the most extreme of circumstances.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We are in support for this bill in general, though we will wait for our coalition partners to weigh in. This has been debated extensively and we as a party have always voted to move to a defensive policy regarding the use of these incredible weapons.

MessageMr. Speaker,

It would be stupid to wait until we are attacked in such a way before retaliating. We should strike pre-emptively if we see the need. Why should we wait until one of our cities is hit with a nuclear missile or chemical weapon before we decide to retaliate with nuclear weaponry? Why should we wait until millions of our civilians have died before we decide to do anything? I prefer to prevent the death of our citizens, not wait until millions die before we take action. After millions of our citizens have died, nothing will bring them back.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We would be in favour of this. We are not in fear of war, for if we were going to go to war it would have happened in the last two election terms when other countries should a great interest in intervening with our politics.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Judging by the replies from the various parties, the bill would pass if my count is correct. Nonetheless, the government is divided on this, so I will call a meeting with the governing parties to address it. We ask voting to be held off until October to give us time to formulate policies.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically
