MessageOOC: 24 months is not enough. Sometimes people don't login for a few days. How stable coalition discussions can be successfully held, agreed, new government chosen and reforms enacted during those 4 days? Exactly.

MessageThey can't, it sometimes takes six months or more, then we have the situation where 8 months before an election no more legislation can be passed. So we would often be in a position where out of those 24 months we only have less than a year of actual government and operation of parliament.

It's purely an electioneering tool from people unhappy they lost the election. I guarantee if they won said election they would afterwards pass a bill lengthening the term out to three or four years. It's just a self serving ploy to get power. It's not actually any good for the people.
