Bill: Military Restructuring - 3733
Details
Submitted by[?]: Great National Republican Guard
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3733
Description[?]:
Our current liberal military structure only pleases the international bourgeoisie. Upon passage of this bill, paramilitaries will aid in our nation's security efforts, to take the stress off our soldiers. Our paramilitaries will do our military's dirty work, so that the Lodamese government cannot be held accountable for breaking bourgeois international laws that are not enforced in the interests of Lodamese citizens. A professional army is expected to abide by certain unnecessary standards which paramilitaries don't necessarily follow. With the passage of this bill, parties will be blamed for the actions of the armed groups affiliated with them, instead of leaving the blame on the entire government and attracting sanctions on the entire country. When a politician promotes a bad policy, for example, the party will be blamed and sanctions (like travel bans and frozen assets) will be placed on that politician and other members of the same party instead of sanctions being placed on the entire nation. More popular parties will naturally have more troops. This is democratic. Our state-run military will be put on standby, and only activated during times of serious emergencies. Regular military drills will still be allowed. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Why should our military to be downgraded towards a semi professional army? According to this bill, only part timers will secure our entire nation an patroll our streets in cooperation with amateurs. Mr. Speaker, This bill is a disgrease. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Our part-time military won't patrol our streets. Paramilitaries aren't necessarily "amateurs" and considering that they would be regulated by the government, they would need to meet certain standards. The government is essentially contracting these private groups for defence, so competition for contracts will naturally result in efficiency. -- George Huddleson, GNRG Spokesman on Justice |

Message | Mr. Speaker. We support this bill reason being is paramilitary groups can be quite effective when facing an invasion from a modern army. These groups tened to hold out longer. Thats the reason we support. Gerard Lieberman Minister of Defence |
