Message | I don't see the need to subsidise public transport. I would like to see where you get your figures regarding the cost of public transport. Expensive? |

Message | Jsut because they don't own a car does not mean they can't walk, cycle, or take public transport. We would also, as the L-PU has stated, like to see these figures pertaining to expensive public transport. |

Message | Why SHOULDN'T we subsidize transport? Because it is a stepping stone to the utopian ideal of free transport for all. Until we can encourage a boom in the automotive industry, or even place that industry in government control, the sad truth is that for people on the lowest income bracket usable cars are still too expensive to purchase and run. The workers have more important things to pay for in Hobrazian society than getting from A to B. |
